Everyone learns something new at a different pace based on their previous experiences and a whole lot of other factors. Learning to fly is no exception! Some can easily do it in the required 40 hours or even less and some may need more but one thing is for sure - if you fly often and never let more than one week elapse between lessons, your costs will be lower! Whatever your requirements, we'll work with you to keep expenses as low as possible. Here's a good representation of a average student's costs:

1) 40 hours rental Cessna Skyhawk @$80 $3200

2) 30 hours instructor time (ground and flight) @$35 $1050

3) Written test fee * $90

4) Flight test fee paid to examiner $300

5) Headset $124

6) Books, software, charts, plotter etc. $200

7) Medical Exam $100
